Carmel T Mooney, MVB MPhil PhD DipECVIM-CA MRCVS

Carmel Mooney graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1986 and spent the next 12 years working at Edinburgh and Glasgow Veterinary Schools. She has completed both MPhil and PhD theses on feline hyperthyroidism and has gained RCVS Specialist Status in Small Animal Medicine (Endocrinology). She was awarded DipECVIM-CA in 1999.  Since 1998 she has worked at University College Dublin where she is currently Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine and Section Head for Small Animal Clincial Studies. Her major research and teaching areas are in endocrine disorders of dogs and cats. She has lectured widely both nationally and internationally and has published many research articles in small animal endocrinology.

Ákos Jerzsele, DVM Ph.D.

Dr. Ákos Jerzsele graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science of Szent István University in 2004. As a new graduate, he started to work at the university's Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, where he continuously works today, currently as an associate professor. He has completed his Ph.D. in 2009 and he has become a specialist in small animal clinical sciences in 2011. He has habilitated in 2016, currently he is supervising 3 Ph.D. students. His primary research field is the possibilities of overcoming antibiotic resistance and damaging bacterial biofilms. From 2017, he is the Director of Postgraduate Education at the University of Veterinary Medicine.

Michał Ceregrzyn, DVM, Ph.D.

Michał Ceregrzyn is a 1994 graduate of Warsaw Agricultural University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. After his PhD studies at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology he did post doctorate studies in neurophysiology of gastrointestinal tract in University of Shizuoka in Japan and Technical University in Munich, Germany. Upon his return to Poland he continued his scientific work in Polish Academy of Science. He is an author of over 40 peer revived scientific publications, books and book chapters. From 2005 he stared he work for industry being a Technical Communication Manager in Mars corporation. From 2016 is a Regional Technical Manager in MSD Animal Health. He continues his private veterinary practice where he concentrate his expertise on gastroenterology and dietetics of dogs and cats.
